Frequently Asked Question!

We offer a wide range of waxes to suit every skill level, including Soy Wax (natural, eco-friendly, and great for scent throw), Paraffin Wax (excellent for vibrant colors and intricate shapes), and Beeswax (all-natural with a honey-like scent). For beginners, we typically recommend Soy Wax because it is forgiving, easy to clean up with soap and water, and has excellent fragrance retention.

Choosing the right wick is crucial for safety and performance. The correct wick size depends on three main factors: the diameter of your container, the type of wax you are using, and the fragrance oil load. We recommend checking our Wick Guide located in the product descriptions of our wick tabs. As a general rule, you should aim for a “full melt pool” (the wax melting to the edge of the container) within 2 to 3 hours of burning.

The industry standard is to measure fragrance oil by weight, not volume. For most of our waxes (such as soy and coconut blends), the maximum fragrance load is typically 10% (10 g of fragrance per 100 g of wax) . However, we always recommend starting with a 6% to 8% load (6 g to 8 g per 100 g) to ensure the candle cures properly without “sweating” (excess oil seeping out) or clogging the wick. Always check the specific wax’s product page for its maximum recommended load.

Curing is the period you allow your poured candles to rest before burning them. During this time, the fragrance oil molecules bond with the wax. For soy and coconut waxes, we highly recommend a cure time of 10 to 14 days. While it is tempting to burn a candle after 24 hours, waiting the full curing period ensures a much stronger “hot throw” (the scent released when burning) and a smoother burn overall. Paraffin wax typically requires a shorter cure time of 1 to 3 days.

Yes, we do! We support small business owners and hobbyists looking to scale up. We offer tiered wholesale pricing for orders over a certain quantity (e.g., 25 kg of wax or bulk wick/container orders). To access wholesale pricing, please contact our sales team directly for custom bulk quotes and freight shipping options.

No, these are natural occurrences and not considered defects. Frosting (white, crystalline patches) is common in natural waxes like soy and coconut wax; it is a sign that you are using a pure, additive-free wax. Wet spots (where the wax pulls away slightly from the container) occur when the wax contracts as it cools and the glass expands/contracts with temperature changes. These do not affect the burn quality or scent throw of the candle. We provide tips on how to minimize these cosmetic issues by pre-heating your vessels and controlling your cooling environment.
